Julie Rico Williamson is currently a PhD Student at the University of Glasgow, advised by Professor Stephen Brewster. Her research focuses on evaluating the user experience of mobile multimodal interfaces in real world settings. She has completed a variety of qualitative and quantitative studies in this area, and worked on projects in Bangalore with HP Labs India. Her work is supported by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship with additional funding for specific projects from Nokia and HP Labs.

She received her Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Informatics (2008) from the University of California Irvine, working with Professor Paul Dourish on ubiquitous systems the explored public and private interactions.
